Customer Reviews Great video/MP3 player for the price!

When my 1GB Sandisk MP3 player died, I hit up amazon looking for something around the same size and function. I was not looking for a video player what-so-ever, but stumbled upon this player which for the comparable had more memory that my old player, I bought it up.
This player ended up being WAY more than I expected for a "Coby" Video/MP3 player.
Yes, the screen is small, but if your in the market looking for something that plays video, than you might not be interested, or is there are complaints about the screen being too small and hard to see, well, you knew before hand what the screen size would be. That being said, I have put several different types of video files on this player, and it plays all of them great. It's nice that if you end up being stuck somewhere you can just quickly pull up a 30minute episode of Reno 911 to kill time.

I had the 8GB 3G model and thought that was great, until I got a demo of the iPhone 4. Man is this version is light years ahead of the original model.

With a 1Ghz CPU, and 16GB of flash memory, this thing is a portable office/entertainment center par excellence. I've had this phone for 3 months without a single problem, the display is nice and sharp, the apps load very fast, and I now have over 130 apps to perform just about every duty you could possibly think of with absolutely no impact on performance. And on the ATT 3G network, I average download speeds of around 1.8Mbps, and over 1M upload speeds….and how do I know that, cause I got an app that tells me that's how. BTW, the display is the equivalent of a 960×640 on your desktop so what you see is essentially a high res yield and page loads are superfast. And resident memory, after a full days use I just checked and still had 120Mb of Ram available. On the 3G model that number was usually down around 4Mb by the end of the work day and had to be refreshed.

Not sure what the"hurt,sore" finger is about but Ill address the product I am using which is the Otterbox Defender;

Its durable and pretty much water resistant. I have dropped it in mud puddles accidently and picked it up and nothing got in. Its bigger thank most but has to be. This isnt a case to put in shirt pocket etc…but i really dont think that this is what it is made for. This is for those who have a job where you want to protect your phone from all sorts of elements. Or if you have little kids who play games on it to keep it safe from drops,smudges etc.

I have never nor any of my many co-workers who have this have ever had problems with running the there finger over the screen and when hitiing the edge have sore fingers, thats a first. You think the holster is defective but then when you actually put it on CORRECTLY its as snug as you know what. It isnt supposed to face out, it faces in and the little indentions fit perfectly. It does its job. Its not slim line like few people think it is. Its bigger than most. Hope this helps….

I am not usually one to leave review comments… but I certainly read a BUNCH of reviews on cases for my iPhone 3G. THANK YOU to all those who wrote reviews and helped me pick the Otterbox Defender case! This case is awesome. VERY durable, all functions are accessible… and yes, the oil slicking effect is sometimes present, but easily fixed.

The ONLY issue I had when I installed the case was that immediately after I installed the case, almost 95% of all people I talked to said they heard an echo every time they spoke (you know, when you say something and a second later you hear it in your ear piece… ANNOYING!).

I was bummed because the case is built like a tank and already saved my phone from a 6′ drop onto the asphalt in the rain. Though, I decided to remove the felt pieces that cover the mic and ear pieces since they are only there to prevent possible drops of water hitting those phone components directly. Once I removed those pieces, not one person complains of hearing the echo anymore! Strange, but it worked… so I wanted to pass it on.

The echo was the ONLY issue I had with this case… it’s the best case I could find and WELL worth the money. I recommend it to everyone I see with an iPhone now

I ordered this case because it looked to be the best of those available early and, with Prime, I could get it overnight. Mine fits my iPhone 4 quite well and provides a nice "grippy" surface so I have less fear of dropping the phone when I remove it from my belt case. The bezel on the front raises the screen above any flat surface I lay it on, so no fear of scratching the screen. It has good, ample openings for access to all controls and ports — vs. some older iPhone 3GS cases which covered the volume control and on-off switch. The only downside, and I expected it, is that it covers the beautiful glass back of the iPhone 4. For that reason I may prefer the Apple Bumpers I’ve ordered when they arrive in two weeks or so.

I wish I had started with an Otterbox to begin with. This is my third case in two months (one was so cheap it wouldn’t stay on, and the other broke into pieces). I highly recommend this case for anyone looking for stability without the need for the bulk of the regular Otterbox case. The silicon sleeve fits snug and the outer plastic case will not budge once in place. There is enough texture to the exterior so it wont slip from your fingers, and it comes in great colors too! Buy this case – you wont be disappointed.

I ordered this for my new computer, and we had a power flicker just a few hours after I set it up! It worked perfectly. There is software included that will let you check the status of the battery and tell the unit what to do if it loses power (such as turn off the computer). Very useful!

Two things to note:

1) Make sure you connect the battery! There’s a note on it to do this, but just in case you get in an unwrapping frenzy, you have to turn it over and slide the cover off in order to do that.

2) Only 4 of the outlets are powered by the battery- the other 4 are JUST surge protection. So if you want more than 4 items plugged into the battery, you may want to upgrade to a different model! It works perfectly for me though!
