The Elite Brewing System is Keurig’s gourmet home brewing made affordable. The Elite Brewing System, the most affordably priced Keurig kitchen brewing system, offers K-Cup® coffee, tea and hot cocoa brewing as the elite choice to any drip coffee maker. The Elite offers two cup sizes for brewing options with the programmable feature of Auto Off. The 48-ounce removable water reservoir holds up to 6 cups before refilling and for the removable drip tray allows for easy cleaning and the use of travel mugs.At initial set up, once the machine is filled with water, it will take approximately 4-minutes for the water will be heated. During the heating period the red light next to ‘HEATING’ on the LED Control Center will become illuminated. Once the water is heated, the red light will turn off and the Small Mug Button will flash. Press the Small Mug Button to start a cleansing brew. Pour the hot water into the sink. The Brewer may take 15 seconds to reheat water between brews during which time the red light next to ‘HEATING’ on the LED Control Center may be illuminated. When the water has heated, the red light will turn off. The one-time set-up process is now complete and you are ready to brew!

I read every single Amazon.com review for this item. And then read them again. I went to the Keurig website and researched the B40. Came back to Amazon and read the reviews one more time. If I was going to pay $100 for a coffee machine, I wanted to be sure I knew as much as possible about it. I finally purchased the B40, and after getting it today and having brewed four cups of coffee so far, I offer the following review (from a BLACK COFFEE drinker, no milk, no sugar):

I think the people who claim this machine is too loud and complain that it vibrates too much are your normal "Mr. Coffee" people. Yes, the machine makes noise. It’s pumping pressurized hot water into the K-Cups. Of course it’s gonna make noise. I counted each time the noise was made. It lasts five seconds each time, at most. And it’s MUCH quieter than my Melitta Mill & Brew, which grinds the coffee beans with a high shrill. This machine also vibrates. But again, it’s well worth the minor noise and moderate vibration. You shouldn’t be shelling out this much money for a coffee machine if you expect a Mr. Coffee coffee maker. You are buying a "gourmet" coffee machine, and it has some cool features that require hot pressurized water to be pumped through the machine. Not a big deal!

I think a lot of the negative reviews that I read, and maybe all of them, referred to an older version of the B40 that only had one cup size setting. Indeed, when I purchased this machine at Target today, the display model for the B40 had only one cup size. I had to triple-check the box to make sure I was getting the B40 with the TWO cup sizes (and I was). So maybe they have improved the machine since that version.

I read negative reviews about this machine making weak coffee. I was so freaked out about those reviews, I wanted to brew every K-Cup (even the Extra Bold) on the small cup setting. As I was brewing the third cup, I put in a "regular" K-Cup and hit the "large" cup setting. I immediately went into Panic Mode, worried that I just wasted a K-Cup, because my coffee would be too weak to drink. Not true at all! Yes, the coffee was not quite as strong as I would normally like, but it was a very decent cup of coffee. I will not worry if I ever hit the large size on a regular pod again. Although I plan on buying all Extra Bold cups, so that I can brew a bigger cup.

I am extremely pleased with this coffee machine. So much so that I plan to buy two of this same model (or the B60 if it’s on sale) as Christmas gifts for my mom and uncle.

As a former coffee house Assistant Manager and an avid fan of "gourmet" coffee, I highly recommend this coffee machine. Probably the best $100 I have spent in at least five years. One of my biggest concerns was that the beans had NO TIME to brew properly in such a short amount of time. But I was completely wrong. This machine brews a nice, bold, rich cup of coffee. Slightly less bold and rich if you brew the regular pods on the larger cup setting; but still very drinkable. I was also concerned that the pods would leak after removing them from the machine, but they are almost dry. I haven’t had a single one drip on the way to the trash can, and I remove them seconds after brewing. I’m extremely pleased with the ease and cleanliness of using this machine. No filters to deal with, no messy coffee grounds, no dirty coffee pots to wash (and filter baskets). The convenience of the machine alone is well worth the minor noise and vibration.

I highly recommend this machine. Just do your research and make sure this is the coffee machine you are looking for. It takes time to research, but it pays off in the end. I couldn’t be happier with the B40, and don’t see why anyone else wouldn’t be just as pleased.

Time for me to make another cup.

My experience was quite different. I received prompt communications from the seller, and the item arrived precisely when they told me it would [just a few days after ordering]. This is not as nice as some of our expensive furniture, but it’s not supposed to be. It is exactly what it says it is: a shoe bench, and its quality and size are perfect for the garage entry door where it is located. Took about 5 minutes to assemble. Well worth the price.

I received the bench very quickly, maybe 8 days after my order. It was very easy to assemble, it’s sturdy for me and my husband to sit on it, and it looks great. The entry it’s now the neatest and most organized part of our small apartment! My 2-year-old loves to sit on it when I put on/off her shoe. There is enough space to stack all those tiny shoes (little harder with my hubby’s shoe), but overall I love it!

I really like these lights. The build quality is great. Very solid and smooth, frosted glass finish. The lights themselves are very yellow, and don’t put out much light. They mimic candles very well, with a constant low flickering. I was under the impression you could change the light flickering on and off, however, while I found out you can’t, it’s really not the problem I thought it might have been as the flickering is very subtle.

The way you turn the lights on and off is either by tipping it to the side and back, or shaking it up and down slightly, works great. Though it would’ve been cool if you could blow them out. The best use of these lights is probably as night lights. I use them if I get up in the night and need to walk through the house to the kitchen or restroom. Not too much light to wake up other, just enough to help me find my way and not crash into anything.

The batteries last quite a while on a full charge, though I haven’t timed them, they seem to last a full day/night when on. Hopefully the LED’s and batteries will hold up for a long time, as neither can be replaced. The charging base could have been designed a bit better, it seems like the cheapest part of the set, though it does work great. You simply set the candle lights in each charge circle and it charges, no plugging the lights in or anything wires to deal with other than the single plug for the charge station.

Overall, the light’s are a great replacement for actual candles. They put off about the same amount of light as a small candle, they look good, plus you can put these in places you can use traditional candles, as these won’t start fires, they don’t even get warm.

I juce at least once a day as I primarily eat raw foods.

My Jack LaLane juicer finally wore out after 2.5 years of daily use. I was tempted to buy another – but I liked the way everything including the pulp catcher is all in one unit. So glad I got the Breville.

This thing is POWERFUL, especially compared to "Jack LaLanne". It is so powerful I usually don’t even use the pusher except to cover the top so your ceiling doesn’t get covered with stuff. Other reviewers have mentioned that tendency. What wasn’t mentioned is that the reason it does that is because the motor is so beefy that stuff will shoot straight up.

When juicing soft stuff I immediately cover the top with my hand.

The design of this thing is absolutely first rate. Even down to the plug, which has a moulded loop so that it is easy to unplug and plug in! No tool is required to remove the basket, as in most other juicers. Breville uses a combo of ingenious design and magnets to hold it in place!

Ease of use and fit and finish is perfect.

Clean up is really a 2 minute operation and I don’t even own a dishwasher. It will stain eventually, as every juicer I have ever owned does. Carrot juice would make a great dye

The pulp on this juicer is a bit wetter than the Jack LaLanne. The "Jack" had a much larger basket and a much slower rotation. I believe that may account for it. But it isn’t much wetter – just very slightly.

This juicer makes much smaller pieces of pulp though – and my experience so far has been that it gets just as much juice from a pound of carrots.

Bottom line – I can’t imagine anyone not loving this unit.

This juicer rocks!!
Been using it for two weeks, works better than advertised.
Solid piece of engineering, sturdy long lasting parts, excellent workmanship.
Best features are its simplicity and ease of cleaning.
Though named "Compact" the unit is pretty large.
The 700 HP motor is powerful and not too loud. Pulp container is of decent capacity. Do not expect to juice entire apples, unless you are using very small apples.
The pulp extract is pretty dry so you are getting almost all the juice out of the fruit/vegetables with this unit.

Nothing better than fresh juice and this juicer makes the whole experience a breeze.

Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for easy maintenance good long lasting juicer .
